Applying for a Credit Union Loan is simple and easy!

Applying for a credit union loan is simple and easy!

To support your loan application you will need to provide the following;

 

Student 
If apply for an Educational loan in your own name, please provide the  following;

1. Proof of Third Level course
2. A guarantor, guarantors must be a member of Roscommon Credit Union Limited.

Proof of income (if available) and bank statements (dated within 3 months from the date of the loan application) may be required.

Parent 
If applying for an Educational Loan on behalf of your child(ren), please provide the following;

1. Proof of Third Level course
2. Proof of Income (last 2 payslips)

If applying for amounts greater than €3,000, bank statements (dated within 3 months from the date of the loan application) may be required.

Who can borrow from Roscommon Credit Union?

Only members are eligible to receive loans from Roscommon Credit Union Ltd. If you would like to become a member, visit our Become a Member page.

 

How long do I have to be a member before I can borrow?

Once you become a member you are eligible to apply for a loan. There is no waiting period or saving requirement needed before you can apply for a loan with Roscommon Credit Union Ltd. New members can join and apply for a loan on the same day!

 

How much can I borrow?

Members of Roscommon Credit Union Ltd. can borrow up to €100,000, with no minimum borrower amount* No matter what your personal loan needs we have a great value loan to suit you!

 

*Roscommon Credit Union Reunion Loan, has a minimum borrower amount of €3,000. All other loans have no minimum borrower amount.

 

How are loan Applications Assessed

Each application is treated in the utmost confidence and will be considered on its own merits. Loan approval is based on ability to repay and not how much you have in your savings account.

 

How long does it take to get loan approval?

Once your loan application and supporting documents are submitted and credit check complete and where required a guarantor is in place, you can expect to hear back from our loans team within 24 – 48 hours!

 

Can I apply for a further loan before I repay my current loan?

Yes, you can apply for a top up loan at any time; you don’t have to repay one loan before applying for another. If your new loan is based on a different interest rate, our system is enabled to run two or more loans on the same account at the same time.

 

How do I repay a loan?

Once you decide the schedule of your repayments, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. You can opt to repay your loan by direct debit, wage deduction, electronic funds transfer or by calling into any of our offices.

 

Can I assess my credit union account online?

Yes, you can access your account(s) by logging in to our online banking. You can request a pin at any time. With your PIN you can check current balances, next payment date or loan amounts. You can also request an e-statement of your account at any time. Simply enter the dates you require and one will be generated for you.
